I have been around now for 62 years and most of them I have done the shopping for my family.
Now that the kids are all grown up and on there own, I continue to do shopping for myself and being on an limited income I have become aware of what everything cost.
There are a couple of things that don't waste your money on, facial cream ladies you don't need to spend a fortune on I have used Oil of Olay for as long as I can remember since about 21 years of age. See my grams was very wrinkled and I noticed that when I was very young and I did not want to be that wrinkled when I got older.
So I used Oil of Olay, yes I have tried others here and there but always went back why should I spend hundreds when you can spend 20$.
Facial cleaner I have used many of have used for the past 25 years Philosophy  purity made simple, LOVE IT JUST LOVE IT. Small amount works wonders, takes off eye makeup and does not hurt your eyes.
I buy mine through QVC you can get a 32oz bottle and it last for a very long time, haven't found the 32oz size any place else, even on Philosophy website.  So go to QVC website and order from there.
     Your probably asking yourself who is she well many people have said you don't look 62 I thought 50 something.
Mascara haven't found one better then the other I think it has to do with the brush, I do love Laura Gellars brush in her mascara that can be found at Ulta.  As for foundation I haven't found one to be better then the other some will give you a different amount of coverage.  Just don't spend a fortune on it the more expensive is not any better then less, it just makes you feel better thinking you are using something that cost you  THAT MUCH.
       So young ladies think about this before you spend a boat load of money, this advise has come from someone who has been there done that.
